Meet Kennedy Odero
Kennedy Odero is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, community advocate, and a valued member of the Synchronicity Africa Founding Circle. His journey is shaped by resilience, determination, and a deep connection to the community from which he came.
Kennedy grew up in Nairobi’s Kibera, one of Africa’s largest informal settlements, in a family that knew the realities of poverty intimately. His childhood became even more difficult following the separation of his parents leaving him and his siblings to navigate an already challenging environment under increasingly difficult circumstances. These experiences exposed him early to the inequalities faced by children growing up in underserved communities, but they also shaped the determination with which he would later pursue a different future.
Yet, like many resilient souls whose desire is to change their lives at home, he refused to allow his beginnings to define the boundaries of his future, carrying with him the lessons of hardship while steadily working towards his dreams that once seemed far beyond his reach.

Turning Point
Today, Kennedy is the Founder and CEO of Chachikulu Ventures, a tours and travel experience company whose reach extends far beyond Nairobi Kenya to include Rwanda, Zanzibar, South Africa, and Malaysia.
Kennedy’s path crossed with that of Synchronicity Africa’s founder, David, while they were both involved in a community-building initiatives project in Kibra slums. What began as two individuals contributing to a shared cause gradually developed into a meaningful friendship, a shared course strengthened by common experiences, mutual respect, and a deep understanding of what it means to come from humble beginnings while carrying ambitions that reached far beyond them.Â
As the vision for Synchronicity Africa developed, Kennedy became one of its key co-builders; contributing his encouragement, experience, and belief in the initiatives and its programs.
Kennedy is also a key note speaker on Synchronicity Africa Talks, where he shares his personal story with young people and wider audiences. Drawing from his experiences growing up in Kibera and his journey into entrepreneurship. He speaks candidly about hardship, resilience, ambition, and the difficult road toward building a better life.Â
Beyond business, Kennedy aspires to serve through public leadership, by representing the region where he came from; as Kibra Constituency Member of Parliament in Kenya’s forth coming general elections.
